Secure Remote Access: Business is data driven. Companies understand constant access to business data is a standard for increased productivity. First generation solutions are being replaced and the need for remote access is constantly expanding. For example, an air medical transport company that transports patients to hospitals via helicopter and airplane use S3 Keys to provide secure remote access. Sensitive patient data is entered into tablet PCs in flight. With S3, EMTs can securely upload patient data from anywhere, even in flight, to hospital and billing agencies and satisfy HIPAA regulations.

Secure Wireless Access: Wireless networking provides clearly defined productivity gains. With the unstoppable growth of wireless networking, Sweet Spot provides the most simple wireless security solution to deploy and use. Sweet Spot eliminates the need to configure individual computers to take advantage of 802.1x and 802.11i standards.  Sweet Spot uses EAP-TLS certificate standards for mutual authentication and AES or TKIP for encryption to the access point.  Or encrypt data all the way to the firewall by using one of S3's VPNs.  In addition, the same S3 keys used by employees for remote access can be used for secure wireless in the office.

Secure Guest Access: S3 allows corporations to securely grant Internet access to a client or vendor to select network resources without the liability of password distribution and without the hassle of MAC address monitoring. For example, a Fortune 100 Defense Contractor selected S3 to simply and securely grant access to their guests without configuration or software changes on the guests’ computer. In addition to providing simple access for guests, S3 keys ensure that company employees cannot connect to the wireless guest network and accidentally transmit confidential information outside their designated secure channel.

Online Applications: Security experts agree most online applications need updated access controls. Usernames and passwords are often the only access controls used. They are difficult to use (which username did I use?) and the security is weak. For example, in October 2005, Federal banking regulators released requirements for banks to provide two-factor authentication for online banking applications by 2006. Sweet Spot's Identity Services is the most simple to use mutual two-factor authentication solution and is currently working with selected banks and other Software as a Service vendors.
